Sydney stars ditched oodies in favour of the red carpet for Les Misérables premiere

|

When it comes to doing things well, the French are perhaps best known for four key things: good wine, great food, romantic architecture, and of course, Les Misérables.

And alas! Because at last, after far too much time has passed, the iconic musical spectacular has returned to Sydney shores for just ten nights. Running at the ICC Sydney Theatre, the show has attracted an audience of over 130 million across 53 countries worldwide. Featuring Matt Lucas and Marina Prior alongside a star studded cast, there’s no surprise that Les Misérables really does do it best.

As expected, last night’s red carpet premiere attracted those with style, influence and public appeal to the show. And let’s just say that guests definitely got the memo of drama. After all, how else are you supposed to come dressed to a show that’s literally centred around the French Revolution?

Notable mentions go to Nasser and his partner Karla Grant, Michael Usher, Anthony Field, Jamie Azzopardi, Nikki Webster and Tom Gay, who were all in attendance. And honestly, given how cold and rainy last night was, a serious hats off to them. There’s just about nothing that I could have been tempted with to get me off the couch and out of my oodie.

Anyway, enough from me, scroll down to check out all the pics from the evening.
