SPOTTED Awhina and Jacqui developing an unlikely friendship bond over their insufferable fake husbands

Move over Adrian, there’s a new lady on the block and she’s about to steal yo girl. Ok, maybe not quite, but nevertheless, it’s safe to say that surprised would be an understatement as to how we feel about this seemingly unlikely friendship that has blossomed between Awhina and Jacqui.
During filming, we spotted two of this season’s breakout MAFS characters arm in arm, heading to Social Society cafe for a brunch moment. Because let’s be real, you’re not really friends until you’ve shared iced matcha lattes and bitched to each other about your fake husbands, right?
I’ll admit, there’s part of this that all feels very scripted. Especially in light of the fact that I don’t think we’ve really seen either of them have any real conversation with each other during the episodes. But, then again, they do have a lot in common when you think about it. And by a lot in common, I mean insufferable husbands driving them mad.
So I guess that means we can probably also assume what the conversations sounded like. Ryan’s testosterone, Adrian’s gaslighting, blah blah blah. Wow, now that I think about it, this friendship makes total and complete sense.
Awhina was spotted donning a navy denim and ultra chic set. It paired perfectly with Jacqui, who opted for white trousers which she matched with a pink ruffled top. Who am I kidding, these two look great together!
