HEY BABY, BABY Hold onto your bald caps, because Pitbull is officially coming to town

|

It’s raining a stupid amount of rain, my heater has carked it, and there’s no food in the fridge. Any yet, against all the odds, I’ve found myself skipping around joyfully across my house today. Why, you might be wondering? Because ladies and gentlemen, has good news landed upon Sydney this morning.

It’s been months since I originally toyed with the idea of starting a petition to revoke Mr Worldwide’s title. After all, if the man refuses to go on tour anywhere other than the US and a few major European cities, can he really be called so? Perhaps Mr North America-only is more fitting?

Anyway, I digress. None of that matters anymore, because our international man has officially announced that he will be returning to Australia for an array of shows in October. And if you hadn’t picked up on who I’m talking about by now, I’m referring to Pitbull.

Now, like all good things, there’s a few caveats that come with it. Despite Pitbull currently occupied on his very own personal world tour, he will be joining a number of other star acts in what makes up the Fridayz Live Aussie tour. And while we’d love a solid three hour set from him and him alone, I’m sure I can accept the likes of Mariah Carey, Wiz Khalifa, Jordin Sparks and Eve as additional acts.

Okay, so now to the important stuff. How do you get tickets? Safe to say this one’s going to resemble a fight-to-the-death style ordeal, but we’re prepared for it. The single Sydney show currently scheduled will be happening at ENGIE Stadium on Saturday 18 October. And while there’s a few rounds of pre-sale, the first one is for Telstra Plus members – starting at 11am next Monday 26 May. General sale will run live on Monday 2 June, but we wouldn’t be surprised if most of them have been snagged up by then.

Naturally, a ticket can only be accepted on one condition: BYO bald cap. I don’t make the rules. And for good posterity and good karma, we’ve linked in one from Spotlight you can buy directly here.
