PICS: MATRIXStevie Nicks step aside – there’s a new gal in town. And she’s serving up some good ol’ 70’s rock that would rival some of our all-time favourites. Introducing Mia Hewitt, the lead singer of Father’s Favourite. She’s also probably better known for being tennis superstar Lleyton and Bec Hewitt’s daughter.
Last night, we caught her playing at Oxford Art Factory in Darlinghurst, and couldn’t help but feel a little excited. It’s not everyday you stare straight down the barrel of some pretty epic potential. Record labels, time to start taking some notes (and maybe do some grovelling). We suspect it’s only a matter of time before the contracts are drawn.
The 18-year old has certainly been making waves as of late, after being caught by Daily Mail having a bit of a chuff with mates. It appears the teenager’s rebellious phase is still in full swing, with the band’s Instagram responding to the article by poking fun at the publicity it attracted. Don’t worry Mia, we all know you guys are absolutely lapping this up. All jokes aside though, this nepo baby is fighting tooth and nail to prove to people that she’s more than just the daughter of two famous people. And we’ve got to give it to her, she’s paving her own path. That, a killer voice, and a cool band vibe, and a new star is born!
