MIC CHECK From the Logies carpet to your AirPods, Mitch Churi has gone full Chat Show

|

Radio may have lost one of its funniest voices, but podcasting has just scored a big one. Mitch Churi, the award-winning broadcaster known for his viral celeb interviews and long run on KIIS FM, officially launched The Mitch Churi Chat Show last night.

The concept is classic: celebrity guests, unfiltered conversation, and a rotating crew of pop culture commentators to unpack the week’s messiest headlines. It’ll be happening twice a week, and we’re guessing it’s going to land somewhere in between Call Her Daddy and The Graham Norton Show, just a lot more Mitch flavoured.

If last night’s launch at The Bristol was anything to go by, it’s clear that our old mate Mitch has clearly been doing some impressive networking at the Logies this year. Those in attendance included the likes of Laura Byrne, Brittany Hockley, Emily Weir and Matt Hey, just to name a few. In other words, I think we can reasonably assume that like always, Mitch’s guest list will be a strong one from the outset.

So if you’ve ever wished Australian late-night TV wasn’t dead, consider this the news you needed, because Mitch has basically resurrected it, except now you don’t need a TV licence, just Spotify.

Okay, enough from me. Scroll down to check out all the pics from the evening.
