BOO Paddington confirmed as NSW’s spookiest suburb following thorough study of locals

In a move that’s sent shivers down the spines of Lululemon-clad locals, Paddington has officially been voted NSW’s spookiest suburb, according to new data from M&M’s.
While the research was technically meant to highlight Halloween enthusiasm ahead of spooky season, anyone who’s spent more than 10 minutes on Glenmore Road knows the real fear lies in the everyday.
Whether it’s the $11 iced matcha at your local café, the 40-minute line outside Henne, or the ghostly wail of “babe, we’re doing a house dinner tonight” echoing through a damp terrace called ‘The Pad’, Paddington’s inherent terror feels less seasonal and more sociological.

Some point to the suburb’s haunted Victorian architecture. Others say it’s the ever-present sense that everyone’s doing better than you financially, despite not appearing to work.
Either way, this recognition only confirms what the rest of Sydney has known for years: behind every polished terrace door lies a shared bathroom with four other people who all studied communications at USYD, a Dyson that belongs to someone’s ex, and a lingering scent of Aesop and generational wealth.
