WINNER WINNER Jonesy & Amanda score top honours at the 2024 ACRA Awards, Brittany Hockley and Ben Fordham also take out wins

Ladies and gentleman, the Logies of radio went down this weekend, and it was kind of a big deal. On Saturday, The Star in Pyrmont once again played host to the ACRA Awards. They rolled out the red carpet for some of the best radio presenters, producers and podcasters in town.

And, of course, before any red carpet fashion chat goes down, it’s probably worth us recapping the night. Ultimately, Jonesy & Amanda took out the top honours of Best On Air Team Award. It’s also the fifth time Brendan Jones and Amanda Keller have taken out the award. In other words, it’s a massive feat for WSFM.

Notable mentions are also due for Brittany Hockley and Laura Byrne. Their uber popular Life Uncut podcast has awarded them with the title of Best Podcast Host(s) of the Year. Ben Fordham also dominated the floor, winning Individual Talent of the Year, Best Talk Presenter, and Best Current Affairs Presenter on a national scale.

But now to the really fun part. What were the people wearing?! And while these radio stars might be used to non-camera facing roles in their daily work life, safe to say the people stepped up.

No surprises that we’re obsessed with Brittany Hockley’s entire ensemble. We’re especially fans of the hair and makeup – it’s chic, it’s modern, it’s avant garde. I’m also not leaving without giving credit to the 70s disco ball-inspired look Brooke Blurton is going for. So. Goddam. Cute. Natarsha Belling also looked absolutely spectacular, and like many, opted for a classic, all black look.

As far as IVANA and Christie Hayes’ fashion selections fare, the jury is still out. That’s all I’ll be saying on that. Last time I elaborated, I ended up in cancel-ville, and it’s far too early in the week to risk landing into that one again.
