BTS Literally every photo we have from yesterday’s ‘Wednesday’ Season 2 media premiere with Jenna Ortega and Tim Burton

Sydney’s weather might be in the midst of a long-term break-up with common decency right now, but it was nothing that could scare off the cast and creators of Netflix’ new season of Wednesday. Yesterday, Jenna Ortega, Tim Burton, Gwendoline Christie and the rest of the Season 2 crew landed on Cockatoo Island for the show’s Australian media premiere on ‘Wednesday Island’.

Trust the black umbrellas, coats billowing and enough grey clouds looming to almost perfectly set the stage for the Addams Family adaptation series. I mean seriously, it was the sort of bleak, brooding backdrop that would make even Morticia proud, and it couldn’t have been more on brand for the Netflix hit’s gothic-meets-camp aesthetic.

Once on the island, the cast posed against the industrial harbour skyline, turning a weather-beaten shipyard into a moody set piece. The event doubled as a rare sighting of the show’s ensemble outside their fictional Nevermore Academy stomping grounds, giving fans a glimpse at the dynamic off-screen that’s fuelled the series’ runaway success (side note: maybe Jenna and Emma are a thing??).

And if the soaked-through media pack and weather-worn red carpet proved anything, it’s that Wednesday doesn’t just thrive in the storm, it sails straight into it. But see for yourself, because we got BTS access to yesterday’s event just for your very own perusal.
