Ahh, Bungalow 8. The stomping ground of corporate sellouts and anyone under the age of 22. In my opinion, the Barangaroo staple nightlife venue cops far more flack than it really deserves. Breathtaking harbour views, live music, and convenient access to the train, metro and ferry?
Come on guys, get with the program.
Now, the venue has just scored a $3 million revamp, giving you yet another reason to check out the new space. You heard me, the King Street Wharf staple that’s been around for a whopping 21 years is basically an institution at this point. And back to regular programming just in time for summer.

Except, it’s not the regular programming you may think. Since the revamp, the bar now also offers reservable cabanas, an upstairs cocktail bar and an outdoor balcony. They’re also launching their very own Sunday Sessions featuring a live saxophonist. Ask us? It’s about damn time someone gave the ivy’s Lost Sundays a run for their money.
But fret not, the venue has ensured it’s retaining its classic tropical charm that 18 year olds and those in their mid 40s both love. They’ve also ensured us that while the new fit out might be a more ‘elevated’ version (god, don’t you just love that word), the nightlife hotspot will still be slinging some serious parties until the early hours.
