LOGIES 2.0
Larry Emdur leads the arrivals for Sofitel Sydney Wentworth relaunch

|

Another day in Sydney, another star studded launch. These things just don’t stop, do they?! Anyway, we’re not complaining by any means.

This time, we’ve got a peak into the Sofitel Sydney Wentworth relaunch that happened late October. After an extensive $70 million renovation (yes, you heard that right), the internationally acclaimed hotel reopened its doors to a long list of Australian sweethearts.

Hosting the arrivals was none other than Larry Emdur and his wife, Sylvie. And if the Logies are anything to go by, it appears the two enjoy matching each other’s outfits. Larry opted for a navy and black tux, which perfectly complimented the navy lace gown donned by Sylvie. As always, 10/10.

Of course, this was only just the beginning. We also spotted the likes of Kerri-Anne Kennerley, Sydney Mayor Clover Moore and Sonia Kruger gracing the red carpet entrance. As far as I’m concerned, this was the Logies 2.0.

“The reinvention of the Sofitel Sydney Wentworth is a real milestone for the Sofitel brand because it is an iconic hotel in the network It is a renovation that is for the guests, for the staff, and for the people of Sydney,” Sofitel CEO Maud Bailly said.

And it’s come just in time for summer. Alongside the renovation has come a complete and total revamp of all hospitality offerings, meaning you’ve got yet another new choice of where to go for your Friday post work drink. Hotel bars can notoriously feel a little stuffy, but our bets are on tilda becoming the next Martin Place hub for corporates.
