If you haven’t already caught yourself up to date, you should know that MAFS Season 12 hosted their very first intruder wedding for the season today. Kicking off at Doltone House on Elizabeth Street, ex-Big Brother contestant Teejay Halkias and bride Bethy Kelly were seen tying the knot.
And while the two definitely appeared to be smitten with each other when the cameras were rolling, we’re not as convinced. Naturally, we waited around to see what happened when the tape stopped filming.

Let’s be real, it’s weird to not walk alongside your bride on your way to the good ol’ Hyde Park for some wedding piccies. No handholding, no chatting. There was something about it that felt SUPER transactional. I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but these are two people who are here to do a job.
And boy, can we see why the producers have hired them. There’s something pretty damn disconcerting about how well they can turn up the heat once the cameras are live. Check the staged tongue pash, gazing into each others eyes and OTT picking up of Bethy. Like, come on guys. Talk about overcompensating.
We can’t necessarily say we’re surprised either. After all, Teejay’s literal job is to model for wedding shoots (see here). It’s obvious he’s had some practice here and there. We now see why he has such great feedback reviews on his work profile.
