New study reveals you don’t only need to drink Hydralyte when you’re hungover

New studies show that you don’t, in fact, need to drink Hydralyte exclusively when you’re hungover.

The news comes following late last month’s International Hydration Day. It came alongside the announcement of ex-Block star Elyse Knowles working as the new ambassador for beloved Australian brand, Hydralyte.

The news has shocked waves of 18-35 year olds, who have historically claimed “popping a hydra” was their highly original and undiscovered trick to beating the Sunday scaries.

“I just never really thought it could be used for anything other than my ripping weekly hangover,” Bobby from Bondi tells us.

And it turns out, the news couldn’t come at a better time. The study also revealed that 73% of Australians are not meeting their daily recommended fluid intake. That’s 14.5 million of us. What’s worse, is that 50% of us are only popping one at the point of severe dehydration.

“I always thought they should be strictly reserved for special occasions,” Bobby says, while reaching for his chapstick for the third time during this interview.

Bobby makes up one of 600,000 Australians who are incapable of recognising key signs of general dehydration. He makes up one of the 29% of men who believe they are consistently meeting their hydration needs. He also suffers from crippling fatigue and mental fog on days that reach over 25 degrees celsius.

“Maybe I should look into it,” he tells So Sydney!
