PUNTERS AND POSERS Florals? For spring? TAB Everest Race Day proves that they can, in fact, be groundbreaking

|

Spotted: Sydney’s finest trotting into Royal Randwick for the TAB Everest Race Day on Saturday, dressed to impress, regress, and occasionally distress. The sun was shining, the champagne was flowing, and not a single person knew which horse was running.

But that’s hardly the point, is it?

Florals were in full bloom (groundbreaking, we know), pastel suits reigned supreme, and somewhere between the first glass of bubbles and the third shoe lost to the lawn, the city’s social scene reminded us what spring racing is really about: the outfits, the optics, and the inevitable Uber surge.

Typically, our forte might be tracking MAFS stars, influencer sightings, and whoever soft-launched a new boyfriend at an opening night. But this season, we’re switching things up. Introducing our new Social Series, the part of So Sydney! where you get to be the headline. Because let’s face it, if you went out looking that good, someone should probably notice.

From sheer slips to structured blazers and a few rogue fascinators fighting for their lives, this year’s Everest crowd didn’t come to play. They came to punt and pose.

Scroll on to see who made the cut.
