Sydney Harbour was briefly transformed into a very expensive film set late last week, as the cast of the upcoming Street Fighter reboot were spotted on a luxury super yacht instead of a soundstage.
On board: none other than rapper 50 Cent, wrestler Cody Rhodes, comedian Andrew Schulz, and actors Andrew Koji and Vidyut Jammwal. The group are in town filming at Disney Studios in Moore Park, but apparently decided a midweek Aperol on a $2,800-an-hour boat was more pressing.

Our king
The yacht in question was Corroboree, basically a floating Eastern Suburbs apartment, minus the mould. Sunnies were on, drinks were had, and the energy was less “martial arts showdown,” more “tourists who just discovered Sydney Harbour is a thing.”
The new Street Fighter film is backed by Legendary Entertainment and directed by brothers Danny and Michael Philippou (head over here to check their chaotic vibes), with shooting underway in Sydney until late this year. It’s set to reimagine Capcom’s iconic video game franchise, which last hit cinemas in 1994 with Jean-Claude Van Damme in lycra.
