FRAT BOY FINAL BOSS
It appears that Temu Tate (aka Ryan) strikes again in tonight’s haunting episode of MAFS

|

As we approach the final few weeks of MAFS Season 12, the days of our screens being dominated by dysfunctional Married At First Sight couples are starting to become nigh. And while there’s a small (large) part of me that feels rather sad we only have limited time left with our parasocial husbands and wives, there’s one cast member that we’re not quite as sad about losing as the others.

Of course, we’re referring to none other than our trusty Temu Tate. Or, as the general population might call him, Ryan Donnelly.

To say his relationship with Jacqui has been tumultuous from outset would be a vast understatement. These two together are about as catastrophic as they come. One episode of MAFS will have you not only witness, but personally experience, the entire spectrum of human emotions.

It appears that tonight’s episode serves as no exception to that rule. And while we can’t spill the beans as to what exactly goes down, last night’s teaser trailer alone probably tells us everything we need to know.

“It really reminds me of the elderley,” Jacqui says in tears when describing Ryan’s living situation.

This episode, the tables turn as Jacqui and Ryan move out from her Manly pad and into his home in Southwest Sydney. To say she’s entered the world of frat boy final boss really doesn’t do it justice. Samurai swords, empty Bintang beer cans and a concerning number of skull figurines is just the beginning. I mean, my god, I’ve seen my fair share of bro dungeons in my time, but this one really took the cake.

Now, don’t get me wrong. As much as I don’t understand it, I accept that there’s a natural phase in every man’s life to collect empty beer cans as if they’re some sort of Banksy statement piece. But at the ripe age of 36 years, I’m taking no prisoners. This place is actually terrifying.

How will this all pan out? Time might be the only thing to tell, but I think we can make a reasonably educated guess that trouble is, once again, on the horizon for these two.
