HOT PICS Lara Worthington stuns at the GQ Men of the Year Awards. And Sam’s there, too.

Ahh, awards season. My favourite time of year. The time where anyone with a remote tie to the media industry gives each other a pat on the back for another hard year of influencer sponsorships and PR campaigns. And as much as I love to be a hater, deep down, I’m 100% here for it.

Last night marked Australia’s GQ Man of the Year Awards, and as expected, the red carpet did not disappoint. And really, how could it? Between Sam Worthington, The Wiggles and a literal Danish prince, I’d be mad about any other outcome.

Now, if you’re not already in the loop, Sam Worthington (aka Avatar guy) won. And if we learned anything from the event, it’s proof once again that behind every good man, is a seriously fucking hot woman.

Now, not to make it all about Lara, but I mean come on guys. This lady literally wiped the floor. And she did it in tartan. How that’s even possible, I’m not too sure.

As far as the getup went, love the nails, obsessed the top half of the fit, but I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t a little bit confused about what’s going on in the second half. I kind of want to love it, and can see it likely being some sort of avant guarde fashion statement. But realistically, it’s like an optical illusion that my brain still can’t figure the fuck out. It looks different from every angle, and after three hours of blank staring, I’ve given up.

As for everyone else, I’m giving credit where credit is due. Sharp tailored suits, long black gowns. This is what we love. Timeless, sexy, elegant. And between Lara, Jackie O, and a few other nameless faceless (pls correct me), it appears that low backs are, well, back. Shoutouts also go to Count Nikolai of Monpezat and Cody Simpson, who nailed the black tie dress code.

Now, this wouldn’t be a So Sydney! article without an honourable mention to none other than Rachael ‘Raygun’ Gunn. After months of keeping a low profile, we’re delighted to see that we’ve finally made the right person famous. Look at her and that little cheeky smile. She’s 100% taking the piss and loving every moment.
