Mia Hewitt follows joins Home and Away, proving the apple really doesn’t fall far from the tree

Ladies and gentlemen, it appears we may have a double threat on our hands. We knew she could sing, but it appears that Bec and Lleyton Hewitt’s daughter, Mia, might also have a penchant for fashion.

This week, we spotted the 18-year old behind the camera in the wardrobe department of long running Aussie soap, Home and Away. And it couldn’t be more fitting, with Mia’s own mother Bec Hewitt (formerly Cartwright) having played Hayley on the cult-followed series between 1998 and 2005.

Following in her mother’s footsteps, are we?

Mia was spotted wearing a pair of denim shorts, Doc Martens boots, a Bunnings umbrella, and tank top with the slogan, ‘save water, shower with a friend’. All are choices. But after the Daily Mail ciggie scandal of August, we won’t lie, we kind of love that she’s pushing the envelope. Ahh, rebellious teenage days. We’ve all been there.

This year has certainly marked the debut of Mia, having entered the spotlight with her band, Father’s Favourite. It’s quickly gained traction amongst indie-pop scenes and Hewitt fanatics alike, with gigs at reputable venues including the likes of Oxford Art Factory.
