Co founder of new gin brand that she’d even drink ‘herself’ leaves a long lunch at Icebergs for a cruise around Sydney Harbour. Cheers Margot.

Margot Robbie is not just a genetically blessed Hollywood actress that once had a part on Neighbours. No no she’s also a producer and co founder of a gin brand called Papa Salt. Here’s a little extract from a long but lovely interview the founders gave on the new booze.

“Finally, on one pivotal night in London, the group gathered on a rooftop to taste recipe 59. “We tried Papa Salt and soda, Papa Salt and tonic, and all sorts of cocktails – Martinis, Negronis and Salty Dogs,” says Regan. “It really shined in different ways in each drink, and we realised then that we had accomplished our goal. We had made a modern, versatile gin that celebrates Australian botanicals – and one we were keen to drink ourselves.”

Hmmm, a ‘versatile’ gin that ‘celebrates’ Australian botanicals. Oh fuck me, ‘brand speak’ its right up there with ‘therapy speak’. A gin does not have a conscience. It does not celebrate anything. It may mix or may even fuse but it definitely does not celebrate. Fuck sake.
