REACHING OUT Pistol and Boo offer support to Barnaby Joyce’s latest canine adversary

Pistol and Boo have reportedly reached out to Barnaby Joyce’s dog following last night’s 7.30 interview, offering emotional support and the contact details of several lawyers familiar with the former agriculture minister and current One Nation senator.
The intervention came after Joyce abruptly turned away from Sarah Ferguson mid-interview and yelled “SIT DOWN” at the off-screen staffy-border collie cross.
Sources close to Pistol and Boo say the pair immediately recognised the seriousness of the situation, having previously faced threats of euthanasia following a high profile dispute between Joyce, Amber Heard and Johnny Depp back in 2015.
“They know what it’s like to unexpectedly become part of a Barnaby Joyce media cycle, and just wanted the dog to know it isn’t alone,” a representative said.
Joyce’s dog is now reportedly considering an adverse action claim after being publicly disciplined during an unpaid television appearance without media training, a written position description or access to a support person.
At the time of publication, Barnaby Joyce’s difficult relationship with the international canine community had entered its second decade.
