It appears that the desperate calls from MAFS participants, as well as the broader nation, for Married At First Sight production to be held better accountable, has not fallen on deaf ears like previous years.
In breaking news, Joshua Fox from the MAFSFunny podcast has confirmed tonight that SafeWork NSW has launched an official investigation on Friday into Channel 9 and Endemol Shine Australia, for their conduct during this season of filming.

The inquiry comes after Jacqui from this season hinted on her TikTok channel earlier today that there was “hope for us”, and that “justice is on its way” thanks to the investigation. She also alluded to the popularising rumour that MAFS Executive Producer John Walsh has resigned. And while the latter has yet to be confirmed, MAFSFunny reports that multiple cast members have already claimed this to be the case.
According to Fox, interviews have already commenced between a SafeWork inspector and various participants from this season of MAFS, with some claiming that they felt unsafe during the filming period. They reportedly are also currently in the process of reaching out to all other members from Season 12. Some are apparently hoping for a financial settlement, while others who have already stepped forward have done so because they feel it is the right thing to do.

On top of this, MAFSFunny reports that SafeWork NSW is meeting with the producers of the show on Wednesday, where they will be required to release all unedited footage to the inspectors for a full review.
Neither Channel 9 nor Endemol Shine Australia are yet to release a statement on the matter, so we can probably expect the final weeks of MAFS to be a big one on all fronts.
