In news that will shock absolutely no one east of Anzac Parade, Watsons Bay Boutique Hotel has unveiled a $3 million facelift ahead of its annual silly season takeover.
The Top and Mid Decks have both undergone a “stunning transformation,” complete with new interiors, refreshed finishes and enough nautical chic to make you forget you’re technically still at a pub.

The Sunset Room and Beach Club have also had a touch-up, presumably to prepare for the coming influx of linen, fake tan, and people still asking what school you went to despite graduating a decade ago.

It’s a timely move for the waterfront institution, whose New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day parties remain the unofficial Hunger Games of Sydney social life.
Our top pick though? Their $99 Bottomless Brunch every Saturday. It’s a long-standing Sydney summer staple that pairs ocean views with the kind of decision-making that ensures you won’t make Sunday Pilates.
