FASHION POLICE The best looks from the 65th TV Week Logie Awards, as voted by me in my oodie from my couch

BY: Kartya Vucetic
It’s TV’s night of nights, and my night of scrolling through red carpet galleries while lying horizontal in an oodie. The 65th TV Week Logie Awards have just wrapped, and between the spray tans, sequins and suspiciously risky cut‑outs, the stars have truly delivered this year.
I’ve sifted through every gown, suit and “is that technically pyjamas?” moment to bring you the best looks of the night. So strap yourselves in, because I come armed with a block of chocolate, zero qualifications in fashion, and a serious bone to pick (or maybe not, my team below really did outdo themselves this year).
Ricki-Lee
She’s graced our screens and song charts since time immemorial, and now, Ricki-Lee has officially landed herself on our best dressed list for this year. In fact, we’re leading with her tonight, because oh. my. god. This dress really is everything. How she was even able to get into this or move in it is a question reserved solely for physicists. And might I add, I do appreciate the fact that she’s decided to opt out of the classic gold and black gowns we almost exclusively see on the night.
I give this 9.8/10. She lost 0.2 of a point for wearing the same dress as someone else on the night. But hey, that’s not really her fault is it.
Samantha Armytage
Let’s ignore the fact that Sammy was standing right next to our new hunky Golden Bachelor, Bear Myrden, all night (and side note: boy are we in for a treat this season). Nevertheless, I’m still not letting this sway me from the fact that this lady absolutely ate tonight. She’s beauty, she’s grace, this outfit is so simple but so right. Honestly, I have nothing else to add.
9.5/10. If I had to say anything, maybe it’s a little safe. I don’t really care about that though.
Lynne McGranger
Sue me for not knowing who this woman was before tonight, but consider myself formally familiarised. Here’s my take: anyone willing to dress up as a Gold Logie, when nominated for a Gold Logie, deserves the relevant credit. Is it possibly a little faux pas? Absolutely. Do I love the fact that this woman has seriously leaned into her moment? Even more so. That’s all.
9.2/10. Sure, it’s a little on the nose. But once again, do I care? No.
The MasterChef Judges
Honestly, I was going to separate these three out from each other but why should I when they all deserve to be on the list? Sophia’s florals and Poh’s baroque-style gown pair perfectly with each other – but not in a weird ‘we tried to do the whole matchy matchy thing’ kinda way. Andy’s kind of just there, but I’ll still keep him on the list because I love me a good bolo tie.
9.1/10. Andy’s dragging them down.
Jessica Redmayne
Lord have mercy do I need this dress immediately. I’m not even kidding, this might just be my personal favourite. Sure, it might fall into the same safe category as Lynne McGranger’s, but once again, my care about that is zilch. The baby pink! The drop waist corset! The bow at the back! Topped it off with the cutest bob that’s now making my scissors look increasingly enticing.
9.8/10. Jessica, hats off to you.
Carrie Bickmore
Carrie, Carrie, Carrie. The Project may have come to an end but somehow you still manage to work it. This is perfection. I think a low contrast look is always so chic, and let’s be real, Carrie always nails it. Once again, she’s also closely resembling that of a real Gold Logie. And once again, I like that.
9.9/10. I feel like I’ve seen this look from her before, but I like it so much that I’m trying to forget about that.
