Well ladies and gentlemen, spring has officially sprung. How do we know for sure? Not from the balmy weather and longer days we’re finally starting to get back, of course. The real sign that Sydney is heading into summer is when the races kick off again.
After all, what says springtime quite like peculiar hat-wearing, drinking Chandon through a straw, and losing your weekly earnings in thirty seconds?
But antics aside, it’s no surprise that the official start of the Everest Carnival automatically heralds the socialites of Sydney. At this point, the effect has become an indisputable force of nature. And hey, I don’t make those laws.
This past Saturday marked Royal Randwick’s Surf To Turf Day, where punters and influencers gathered to play dress-ups and pretend to know which horse was actually a front contender. And whether you’re into racing or not, all you really need to know is that it was quite the turnout.
Familiar faces included MAFS’ Carina Mirabile, alongside Costeen Hatzi, Lucy Jackson, Chloe Hayden and George Mirosevich. All dressed to the nines and buzzing with excitement pre-losing their bets.
But let’s be honest, you’re not here to listen to me. Scroll down to check out our who’s who pics from the day.
