BOUGIE ON A BUDGET
Crown Sydney is doing a massive happy hour special that you probably should get around

|

I’m no athlete, but if finding the best happy hour in town were a sport, I’d be standing on that podium receiving gold.

Don’t ask me why they seem so impossible to hunt down. It’s like some sick game is being played where I constantly end up missing out by one minute and paying way more for my spicy margarita than I should be. That might be dramatic, sue me.

Good news is that The Crown has announced a pretty banging Happy Hour Special across a number of their snazzy restaurants and bars. Cirq at the Crown, a’Mare, Teahouse, TWR, and Woodcut are all joining in on the parade. Every weekday between 4 pm and 7 pm, the venues will be slinging $10 wines and spirits, $7 beers, and $15 cocktails. Because who said you can’t be bougie on a budget?

Perhaps all you corpies should consider this your sign to ditch The Occidental just that once and opt for a venue that doesn’t smell entirely of worn-out RM Williams and stale beer. It’s time for elevation, and I know you can do it.

You’ll find below some of my Happy Hour(s) highlights from each venue, with a decent number also including nibbles.

  • Cirq at the Crown – $2 oysters, $8 lobster rolls and $15 cocktails. Perfect place to make your post-work date believe you’re on an actually liveable salary.
  • a’Mare – $9 gnocco fritto and potato croquettes, $15 negronis. Perfect place to make your colleagues believe you actually learned some Italian on your two-week annual leave trip last year.
  • Teahouse – $8 fried lobster hargao and BBQ pork mantou, $15 jade sours. You’ll be heading to The Sanctuary after this for sure.
  • TWR – $3 pork croquettes and $6 grilled wagyu skewers. Ideal for those wanting to pick up a cougar from Melbourne.
  • Woodcut – $15 prawn rolls, oyster po’ boys and pastrami rolls, $15 hickory margaritas. This is where you’ll land that promotion with your boss, or get fired.
