WHAT'S ON Katharina Lou’s Sydney Girl Dinner is back. And yes, you’re supposed to dress the f**k up

Sydney might be a city that largely considers activewear as acceptable evening attire, but a new social category may have quietly developed right under our noses: the dress-up dinner.
Less chaotic than a night out, and yet significantly more glamorous than a casual dinner booking. These curated events are finally giving people an excuse to actually wear a proper outfit again.
At the centre of this very specific cultural niche is Sydney slow fashion queen, Katharina Lou. Known for designing theatrical plaid pieces under a philosophy which firmly rejects the idea that clothes should be boring, KLOU has built something of a cult following among the city’s fashion crowd.
And with that following has come her now semi-legendary Sydney Girl Dinner series.

This month, the event returns for its third edition on Thursday 26 March, this time taking over Potts Point restaurant ArmsLength. And aside from a three-course dinner with drinks, guests can also expect goodie bags, KLOU vouchers, and most importantly, a rare opportunity in Sydney to get really, really dressed up.
Tickets are $149 and still available, but if history is anything to go by, this will book out.
