While their love story is unlikely to play out on our TV screens, if you’re reading this post it’s because you’re well aware by now that “humbly wealthy” MAFS intruder groom Clint Rice is in a brand new relationship with chaotic bride Jacqui Burfoot.

According to The Daily Mail, Jacqui, 29, has already uprooted her life to move in with Clint, 43, with an insider saying the two have a “natural chemistry.” Clint reportedly slid into Jacqui’s DMs after both their respective MAFS marriages didn’t work, and the two hit it off from there.

With Clint’s entrance into the MAFS world last night, many fans were left curious about the professional golfer and businessman’s overall deal. How did he get so wealthy? How much does his chillingly clean Tasmanian pad cost? Why… does it look the way it looks? Why is there a tennis court and no pool? OK, the last two may have been two of my personal questions.

MAFS’ Clint’s confusing relationship backstory

Joshua Fox from popular MAFS page and podcast MAFSfunny has done a deep dive on Clint’s past relationship, because he smelt something fishy. Firstly, Clint told Lauren his last relationship ended “about a year ago” which, given his MAFS wedding was filmed in mid-2024, would have meant his previous relationship ended sometime in August of 2023.

“You know the big mansion he showed off in his backstory?” Josh said. “He actually moved into that ‘pretty empty’ mansion in December 2023 with his ex.”

The plot, it thickens. Clint and his ex Lisa left a testimonial on the builders’ website thanking the company for building “our dream home” just before Christmas 2023. Josh then found a photo of the pair on Facebook in May 2024, proving they were still together around that time, just months before Clint’s wedding to Lauren.

Josh then reached out to people who know Clint, who said the pair broke up in January 2024, just weeks after they moved into their new home. Apparently, his ex-girlfriend’s side said the couple started having “issues” in 2024 before officially ending things in June 2024.

Clint’s ex’s message to Jacqui Burfoot

Josh then got a message from Clint’s ex-girlfriend’s friend, where they delivered a personal message to Jacqui.

“Jacqui, how does it feel knowing that the home you’re in was carefully chosen by another woman? From the silverware you use at dinner to the plates, all picked out by someone else. How do you feel knowing that every towel and piece of linen that you dry yourself with was chosen by another woman?

“Jacqui, is the bed you sleep in comfortable? Knowing that another woman once rested her head on that pillow. From the furniture to the glasses you sip wine from every night, even the bar where you enjoy cocktails and the black toilet paper in the powder room, all of this Jacqui was chosen by another woman.”

Damn, Jacqui, can you answer this in your next AMA? Also, black toilet paper?!

Now, drama aside, we all love some property porn, so let’s deep dive into Clint’s pristine, monochrome pad.
