Reports circulated on Sunday morning of an altercation occurring outside the Clovelly Hotel between Hollywood heartthrob Jacob Elordi, star of critically acclaimed film Saltburn and a KIIS FM staffer Joshua Fox. Apparently Fox approached Elordi as he left the hotel around 3:30pm on Saturday attempting to have him participate in a prank as part of the Kyle & Jackie O morning show.
Seems the prank did not go as planned for Fox when he approached the actor requesting he fill a jar with his bath water for Jackie who he said was a huge fan of the film. Genius prank really but Elordi did not see the funny side of it. Discussing the incident on-air this morning, Fox alleged the Saltburn star grabbed him by the throat and pushed him against a wall. That escalated quickly!
In a statement New South Wales Police said: “Officers attached to Eastern Beaches Police Area Command are investigating after a man was allegedly assaulted outside a hotel in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs.”
“Police were told about 3.30pm on Saturday 3 February 2024, a 32-year-old man was allegedly assaulted by a 26-year-old man. The man did not sustain any injuries,” it added.
“CCTV of the incident had been seized by detectives and will be reviewed as part of the investigation into the complaint”
“Inquiries into the incident are continuing.”
Elordi who is currently in Australia filming The Narrow Road to the Deep North is expected to walk the red carpet at the AACTA Awards on Saturday. Media intending to cover the event have been advised a ‘no jars’ policy will be strictly enforced.
