DIVORCE BABES
Jacqui and Ryan have both filed for AVO’s against each other, and shit’s getting messy

|

Even with MAFS being (nearly, basically, almost) over, there’s still never a dull moment in our parasocial friends and foes worlds. I mean, come on guys, your time is up. Has no one told these lunatics that they don’t actually have to continue supplying us with drama now that filming is done?

Apparently not, because this week, after what can only be described as the most bizarre and unhinged Final Vows to ever be, Jacqui and Ryan have continued the drama. Except this time, it’s all off-screen and a whole lot more serious.

What went from a match of shit flinging on Monday night, with Jacqui calling Ryan a “red carpet” while her now ex-husband shouted, “Be gone! You horrible woman!”, has now turned into a more serious legal battle. Over the past two days, news has broken that both have been successful in applying for interim Apprehended Violence Orders against one another.

Now, if you’re asking who started it, good luck in ever figuring that out. You might as well enter the debate as to whether it was the chicken or the egg that came first. These two have been volatile from the get-go, and their Instagram war they’ve waged with each other over these past few months has only descended further into madness.

Here’s the timeline we know so far…

Earlier last month, Jacqui filed a revenge porn claim against Ryan with Tasmanian Police, after her on-screen husband began to publish intimate texts between the two of them online. No, it wasn’t anything graphic, and you can read the full breakdown of the claim over here. As expected, the legal recourse added fuel to the fire that was already starting to ignite.

Then, on Sunday, The Senior reported that Jacqui had also been successful in filing an interim restraining order against Ryan. Launceston Magistrate Sharon Cure granted the order, which prevents Ryan from commenting on social media about her. Just a day later, Ryan has retaliated and also filed for an AVO with Campbelltown Courthouse. He’ll hear the outcome of that application when he appears for the mention on April 23.
