Forget flying to Rome and fighting through Vatican tour groups, Michelangelo has officially come to Sydney. After a three-year wait, Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel: The Exhibition has officially opened at Fever Pavilion, bringing 34 of the Renaissance master’s iconic frescoes (including The Creation of Adam and The Last Judgment) to life on a jaw-dropping scale.
We headed over a few weeks to check it out for ourselves, and let me tell you it did not disappoint. After all, who needs a hot girl Euro summer when you’ve got the Fever Pavilion at your doorstep?
Recreated with a special printing technique that mirrors the texture, colour and detail of the originals, the works are displayed at eye level (meaning you can actually spot the drama, the anatomy, and the genius without a crick in your neck). Add in audio guides, signage, and zero scaffolding, and you’ve got yourself a front-row seat to one of history’s most influential masterpieces.
And because we love you, we’ve teamed up with Fever to give away five double passes to the exhibition. In other words, we’ve just saved you $50 odd bucks.
