FRIEND OF THE BRAND Sydney socialites play dress up for the Effie Kats dinner, Montana Cox forgot it was winter

Fashion week might be over, but if there’s one thing we can be sure about, it’s the parade of influencers and socialites that roam our Eastern suburb streets all year round. And that’s exactly what happened last night at the Effie Kats fashion dinner hosted at Buon Ricordo in Paddington.

It’s no secret that the Melbourne-based designer has been the go-to gal for many of Australia’s most coveted ladies of leisure. And when the designer is known to dominate the red carpet every year the Logies comes around, you can rest assured knowing that friends of the brand are also going to dress the fuck up for dinner.

As expected, the evening attracted some of our favourite and most-loved faces. Think DJ Havana Brown, Indy Clinton, Anna Heinrich, Nadia Bartel and Sarah Ellen, just to name a few. Of course, Simone Holtznagel – who’s recently rumoured to be dating Eastern suburbs bachelor Max Shepherd – was also in attendance, alongside Aussie model Montana Cox.

For the evening, which hit a low temperature of just eleven degrees, most opted for dark colours, long dresses and warming gloves. That is, everyone but Montana Cox, who either forgot it’s nearly winter or decided to intentionally pivot with a bright red bubble skirt mini.

Now, one might call it ridiculous, but I, on the other hand, am seriously fucking here for it. Not only is this lady proving that hot girls really don’t get cold, but the sexy circus, corseted look is kind of a moment. Besides, imagine all the stuff you could hide under that skirt. She ate, and you can’t tell me otherwise.
