BREAKING NEWS
There’s been an update to Ryan Donnelly’s ADVO application at Campbelltown Courthouse this morning…

Thought nearly three months of Married At First Sight was more than enough brain paralysing television drama for one year? Think again, because the Season 12 cast just keeps on delivering the shit show right into our laps. This time, it’s far more serious.

This morning, we’re coming to you with an update on the Jacqui-Ryan AVO saga that’s been going down over this past month. And if you need to catch yourself up to speed, it’s best to start here. But for all my seasoned veterans, you’d already be well aware that news broke at the start of this month that Jacqui Burfoot had successfully applied for an interim AVO against Ryan Donnelly with the Tasmanian courts. The order prohibits Ryan from commenting harassing or denigrating material on social media about her.

Naturally with these two, it took less than two ticks of the clock for Ryan to retaliate with his own application at Campbelltown Courthouse. The court mention, which was scheduled for 9.30am this morning, was heard by Magistrate Shane McAnulty, who has ultimately put over and adjourned the matter to Tuesday 24 June later this year.

There are many reasons why a matter like this would be adjourned. Often, it gives both parties as well as the court additional time to acquire further information and evidence necessary for the hearing. Alternatively, it may also come at the request of either applicant or defendant. Jacqui, who was not present nor represented at the mention today, has reportedly emailed through to oppose the application. During the proceedings, it was also revealed that Jacqui was served with a Court Attendance Notice on Monday 14 April by Tasmanian Police.

“An individual has tried to destroy my life, my potential for career options, collaborations, all that sorts with false allegations,” Ryan told reporters in from of the Courthouse this morning.

Knowing the nature of these two’s volatile relationship with each other during the course of filming, one can almost be certain that this is going to get worse before it gets better. My crystal ball predicts that these two will not be playing nice with each other any time soon.
