So, naturally, we tried three of the bestsellers to give you the rundown on what’s actually worth buying.

Skin Sip Moisture Milk

We may as well acknowledge the glazed elephant in the room: this looks and sounds a lot like Hailey Bieber’s famous Rhode’s Glazing Milk.

Both are lightweight, milky skincare products designed to hydrate, plump and prepare the skin for whatever comes next. No7’s version contains hyaluronic acid and squalane and comes in at $29.99, making it considerably easier to pick up during a Priceline run.

The formula feels light and refreshing, sinks in quickly and leaves the skin looking noticeably more hydrated without creating that hideous sticky film. And while it might be a little less dewy compared to the Rhode formula, that might actually be better for those with oily skin. In terms of the experience and finished effect, it’s a pretty convincing alternative.

THE VERDICT: A solid Rhode dupe that does what it promises without requiring an international beauty order that takes 3 weeks to arrive (IYKYK).

Dream Drench Wrapping Mask

The Dream Drench Wrapping Mask begins as a silky gel before drying into a thin layer that can be peeled from the face (honestly, in a way that resembles sunburn). It’s very freaky, and it’s very satisfying.

Behind the theatre, however, the mask left my skin feeling super soft and smooth. Would I use this every day? No, it’s not exactly an essential step in anyone’s routine. I also wouldn’t try and sleep in it, although you technically can. Nevertheless, if you’re planning a face mask night it’s definitely a solid option.

THE VERDICT: Slightly freaky, strangely satisfying and actually quite hydrating.
THE RATING: 7/10.

Silky Jelly Lip Mask

For full transparency, as someone with chronically dry lips I am frequently skeptical about anything other than straight ol’ Vaseline. So it came to my surprise that the Silky Jelly Lip mask was easily my favourite of the three.

The glossy jelly formula contains hyaluronic acid and shea butter, and can be worn throughout the day or applied more generously overnight. To be honest, I’ve been particularly enjoying using it as a lip gloss over lip liner. It feels nourishing without becoming sticky in that way that drives me marginally insane.

More importantly, it’s the product I’ve continued reaching for long after the initial testing was finished, which is hopefully a more useful endorsement than anything I could write. At $19.99, it also sits comfortably below many of the viral lip treatments currently occupying half the internet.

THE VERDICT: The unexpected standout, and the one we would repurchase first.
