If you haven’t already noticed, MAFS Season 13 is in full filming swing this week. And while we’ve already confirmed four new couples to enter the experiment, there’s a duo in particular that has piqued our interest for all the wrong reasons.
Introducing Scott McCristal and Gia Fleur, the newlywed Married At First Sight couple that tied the knot on Maroubra Beach earlier this week.
They say a picture tells a thousand words, and honestly, that couldn’t ring more true than for these two. Squint your eyes hard enough and I’d be convinced we had been transported to some bizarre, booze-fuelled Vegas wedding. Cue excessively tattooed arms, boldly placed leg garters, and enough botox to have me thinking that maybe the MAFS producers have a two-for-one referral deal going?
And while I can’t confirm that last one, what I can say with relentless confidence is that these two are going to be bold. After all, it’s one thing to voluntarily sign up to the largest reality dating show in Australia. But it’s a whole different ballpark to do so with the fervour that these two are clearly bringing. Lowkey, I’m here for it.
We’re still yet to find much information on our Melbourne-based bride Gia, who’s clearly been wiser than her new hubby in privating all her accounts and keeping a low profile. As for Scott, well, let’s just say it’s a train wreck waiting to happen. It took all of about five minutes of Google searches to conclude that this guy is 99% likely to be a Class-A tosser.
Anyway, best of luck to them both. I’m sure somewhere between those 12-hour filming days, dinner party feuds and alpha male lectures there’ll be a true and genuine romance that blossoms.
