RED FLAGS ON FIRE Introducing MAFS’ newest groom Scott McCristal, here for literally ALL of the wrong reasons

BY: Kartya Vucetic
It’s another Tuesday in late July people, and you know what that means. Yet another MAFS wedding has landed on Sydney’s doorstep as filming kicks off for Season 13. That’s right, we’re right back in the thick of it. Did you miss us?
Thanks to our eyes and ears plastered over the city, we spotted MAFS’ newest hitched couple tying the knot over at Maroubra Beach earlier yesterday. And this time, we’re pleased to be introducing to you Scott McCristal and Gia Fleur.
If you’re looking for the BTS pics of the wedding, head over here first. But if you’re well past that and now looking to do a deep dive on each of this season’s characters (after all, how else are you going to flex to your nan?), then we’ve got you covered.
Okay, so who tf is Scott McCristal?
It appears our little romantic isn’t exactly a nouveau when it comes to reality TV screen time. In fact, he’s quite the opposite. A deep dive into his online presence has revealed that he’s a Gold Coast bloke in his early 30’s, having already amassed an Instagram following of over 25K and a shiny blue tick. We’re guessing it comes from his appearances on Million Dollar Island, Blind Date and ABC’s Holey Moley. He’s also appeared as an extra in The Warriors, starring Vince Colosimo.
Back in 2018, The Courier Mail even did a profile piece on him, where he outright claimed, “tradie work is not for me, I want fame”. So yeah, we can see why the MAFS producers were licking their lips when they cast this guy.

To make matters worse? Head over to his Youtube channel and you’ll see Scott proudly describe himself as an entrepreneur, longevity junkie, finance specialist, and early-morning savage leading “the alpha lifestyle”. And oh my god I just vomited in my mouth.
What do we know about his past love life?
Speaking candidly to The Courier back in 2018, it appears that Scott has struggled in the realm of love. And honestly, from everything we’ve learned so far about him, we can’t say we’re surprised.
“I’m so particular and picky”, he explains, which definitely makes him the ideal candidate for a show where you have no say in who you marry.
Apparently McCristal’s “typical Gold Coast” look attracts judgment and “the wrong girls”. He’s looking for someone who’s fit and healthy like him, and “wants to wake up and go for walks and have a full day ahead”. So, essentially…a person with a functioning circadian rhythm.

What does he do for work?
As far as how our new groom makes a living wage, it appears this entrepreneur has quite a few streams of income. Previously, he’s been listed on StarNow as an actor, model and fitness talent – which has apparently included underwear and swimwear work. His listed hobbies have also included “motivational speaking”, however, no evidence of bookings have surfaced online to date.
Nowadays, when he’s not servicing jet skis and selling cars, he runs an asset finance lending firm. Social pages for said firm mostly contain videos of him offering unsolicited financial advice backed to soundtracks that would otherwise be exclusively played in an Ibiza nightclub.
In other words, it’s been all about twenty-four hours since this guy got hitched on MAFS and I officially hate him. Cue the inundation of alpha male gym bro chats that would even send old mate Ryan into a coma. And while I so hope that I’m wrong, I rarely am. Ladies and gentlemen, it looks like we’ve just found our new season villain.
