CHEERS West Hotel Sydney is hosting a Sober October dinner series, and maybe this is your sign to book a ticket

Don’t get me wrong, there’s nothing quite like kicking your feet up at the end of a long day and sipping on a tipple of vino. Whether it’s been a stressful day in the office, or you’re having a dinner catchup with your girlfriends, mindless drinking can (and does) often creep up on us.
Enter the silly season months? It’s basically game over. For many, steering clear of the drink can seem almost impossible.
Nevertheless, as mature, responsible and wise adults (?), I think most of us can recognise that booze isn’t, in fact, our friend. We all know it’s actually a poison, and from its impacts on your liver to your mood, I’m not exactly breaking ground when I say it’s best to avoid, or at least moderate, when you can.
This is where West Hotel Sydney’s newest dinner series comes in. Every Thursday in October, the hotel will be hosting its Sober October dinner series. The venue will be partnering with a new local charity each week to deliver a three-course feast, with exclusive non-alcoholic pairings from Altina Drinks, Heaps Normal and Banks Botanicals.
Aside from guaranteeing you a wake up sans the hangover, each dinner series will also host a presentation from the featured charity. You’ll have the opportunity to hear more about the work being done by Take 3 For the Sea, ReLove and the Bush Heritage Foundation. What’s more? All ticket proceeds will go directly to that evening’s charity partner, so you can feel good in more than one way.
Tickets will set you back $120, but we think it’s a cheap price to pay for helping both your own poor liver as well as the community. And if you’re looking for other things to keep you busy this month, head over here.
