MAFS 2026 Steve and Rebecca are the newest wedded couple of MAFS 2026, and we’ve got all the BTS wedding pics from Centennial Park

I can’t believe I’m even saying this, but Married at First Sight has officially kicked off its 2026 season this week. Weddings are being filmed, ‘genuine’ connections are forming, and once again we’re dragged back into the shit show of someone’s grand idea to marry off wildly incompatible strangers to each other on national television.

I mean, who were we to think that we might score a break from this monstrosity for more than three months? I guess that was always off the table, and alas, there’s a small part of us that are low-key happy about it.

After Daily Mail unveiled the first wedding that happened on Monday, we decided it was time to put our big girl pants on and get back into action in tracking our beloved new cast. Turns out it didn’t actually take that long. In fact, yesterday we stumbled into MAFS‘ newest wedding going down in Centennial Park. And dare I say it felt…kind of tasteful?

Cue ‘Silver Fox Steve’ Powell and Rebecca Zukowski, the newest couple to say “I do” without knowing each other’s last name. Funnily enough, we’re already calling them Mum and Dad.

They’re the token older pairing this season (so the show doesn’t get sued for age discrimination), but they might actually be the best match we’ve seen in years. Pre-wedding nerves? Tick. Dramatic stares into the distance? Naturally. But there was also a lot of laughing, hand-holding, and even a full-blown kiss at the altar. Not the awkward peck kind, either. The kind that makes you pause.

There’s genuine chemistry here, or at least a convincing facade of it, and we’re into it. Steve has the calm energy of someone who owns multiple button-ups. Rebecca seems like a big personality in the best way possible. Together, they give off solid “we don’t need this show but we’re doing it anyway” energy.

Also, the budget? Noticeably up. The set design was clean, the florals were expensive, and no one tripped over a poorly laid runner. Last year’s chaos might’ve actually paid off (literally).

Scroll on for all the behind-the-scenes shots from the day, including close-ups of that kiss, some very expressive mid-laugh faces, and what looks like the beginning of the only storyline we’ll actually care about this season.
